Aberlink has successfully integrated its mk 4 3D Manual Inspection software with Faro level measurement machines. The software combination Inspection+CAD comparison works in all Faro models equipped with USB connections. The Gage model must have a Faro port lock. Aberlink software covers the features of the Faro-supplied Cam2 Measure software, as well as separately purchased Delcam PowerINSPECT software. The best feature of the Aberlnk program is its ScanMode, with which any geometric dimension, 2D curve, or 3D surface can be scanned. Data collection resolution can be set to the distance between points or points/second. In the video below, the distance is set to 1 mm and used to measure the features of the part. Naturally, Aberlink’s feature prediction works and automatically recognizes geometric shapes, as well as its extremely easy and graphical reporting.
