Efficient Solutions for Industrial Needs

WELDING OPERATIONS

The welding process package developed independently by FAIRINO supports several welding techniques, such as arc welding, fillet welding, flat welding, segment welding, and dual-process welding.

Welding process features are included in FAIRINO’s standard software

01. WEAVING WELDING – WEAVING

FAIRINO’s robotic pendulum welding (weaving) supports several patterns, such as a triangular wave pattern, a vertical L-shape, a triangle, a circle, an inclined zigzag, and a sine wave.

02.ARC TRACKING – RAIL TRACKING

The arc tracking function is a key technology in the implementation of welding automation. When welding right-angled, U-shaped, V-shaped, or other groove shapes, the positional relationship between the welding gun and the center of the groove is calculated after arc ignition based on welding current and voltage data. The system compensates for welding deviations in real time to ensure that the weld line remains precise and the weld quality remains consistent.

03. SEAM TRACKING – RAILON SEARCH

Seam Tracking — also known as seam detection — refers to the detection of changes in the welding wire’s electrical signal as it contacts the workpiece’s surface, allowing the workpiece’s actual position in the robot’s coordinate system to be determined. Once the teaching points for position detection have been programmed, the robot automatically searches for the edge of the workpiece—the groove. When the welding wire touches the surface of the workpiece, the voltage signal changes, and the welding machine transmits this information to the robot. Upon receiving the signal, the robot records the location of the workpiece’s surface edge.

04. WELDING INTERRUPTION RECOVERY – RECOVERY FROM AN INTERRUPTION

The welding interruption recovery function is used in situations where welding is interrupted either due to an active stop initiated by the user or as a result of unexpected events, such as a collision or an arc break, . The robot can restart the arc from the original interruption point and continue performing the remaining welding tasks. When the arc is reignited, the robot automatically retracts a predefined distance along the welding direction to create an overlap with the previous weld before the arc broke, thereby ensuring weld quality.
